Jouons Football Club

The score doesn’t matter, but the way we play does.

The Jouons Story

The name Jouons came about in the living room of two founders mother. After a few years of coaching, Pierre noticed that many children were missing the most fundamental part of the game. From there the idea developed into training players who would like to become technically comfortable on the ball. Jouons has since developed players who are performing in the top teams in leagues such as NCSL, EDP, and CCL. Jouons is just beginning its journey and will continue to do so because of the players and families that continue to buy into our vision, mission, Principle, and philosophy.

Vision, Mission, Principle, and Philosophy

Vision: To provide unique opportunities and experiences to future athletes.

Mission: To offer unparalleled soccer youth development and education across communities.

Principle: To have a constant will to improve as a player and as a human being.

Philosophy: To become good is not hard, but to become great requires discipline, practice and truly applying oneself. The score does not matter but the way we play does.

Respect is one of the most fundamental requirements in life and sport. It is crucial for an individual to possess this quality to be part of a team. Sports create situations that have to be resolved right away on and off the field. Having this value in our community will help diffuse any differences we may have among one another.

Effort is a value that can help achieve objectives that may at times seem to only exist in a far distance. Effort requires a combination of dedication, consistency, sacrifice, and perseverance, all of which can guide us well on the field, in school, and in life.
Ambition is the will to want to perform at the highest level possible and improve every day. Ambition in a team sport is a value that applies to both the individual and group. Ambition involves other values that should not be discounted such as discipline, patience, motivation, order, excellence, and responsibility. Ambition is probably the surest way of achieving them, for it is the impulse to grow.

Athletes often begin with effort, perseverance, self-control, rigor, and responsibility among others. However, as athletes continue to progress at various stages their seem to forget the values that took them through their journey. Humility is knowing one's values, maintain those values and having the will to defend them.

Teamwork implies coming together as one. Thinking as individuals while at the same time recognizing it takes a collective to complete a common goal. Our failures are not necessarily ours alone for as a team, we own up to our mistakes and use every failure as an opportunity to learn and get better.

When athletes bring all the above core values together, they are able to experience the benefits of being part of a team.
